The Giants are pleased to know that no one was hurt and that business will resume swiftly.

A disastrous fire on Keenleyside during the night of October 22 destroyed the offices and warehouse of SPAR-Marathon, a local roofing supply firm. Paul Sirant, a Junior Giant alumnus, active Mudcat player and team organizer, is a sales manager there and Keith Sigurdson, an active Junior Giant, is one of their employees. Over the years, the company has provided several summer jobs for players in the Giants organization.

We trust this outcome will allow the company to survive to provide on-going support to the community baseball in the Elmwood area.
