SAN ANTONIO, Texas-- The PHS girls junior varsity squad posted a 61-34 victory over Converse Judson Friday night following a great defensive effort, while the Panther freshman "A" (gold) team also won, 55-30, as both squads moved to 2-0 with the victories.
In the PHS junior varsity win, freshman
forward Amy Staha jump-started the Panthers by hitting her first three shots,
including a three-pointer, and finished with 13 points. Tying for the scoring

off fastbreak layups after steals.

guard/forward Destini Oakman with 19 points, while point guard Taylor Ross
chipped in with 16 points.
The Panther freshman “B” (blue) team, playing their season
opener, lost to the Rockets, 45-39.
