| AUSTIN, Texas-- The Pflugerville junior varsity stayed undefeated on the year with two victories to open the Greater Austin Tournament on Friday. In play at McNeil HS, host site of the tourney, Pflugerville downed Copperas Cove 72-22 in morning play and then stopped Liberty Hill, 72-22, in afternoon action. The JV
(5-0 overall) are now in the Tournament's championship game which takes
place at 11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 21) at McNeil HS against an opponent
TBA. Saturday, the Pflugerville freshmen also play in the championship
of their division. also at 11 a.m. at McNeill in Gym 2 (smaller gym). Friday, the Pflugerville JV was paced by Diana Omozee (16 points) and freshman forward Amy Staha (14 points) in the win over Copperas Cove. The game against Liberty Hill saw freshman point guard Tayliah Brooks pour in a game-high 20 points while Mackenzie Coffey added 14 points. |
