| In the new weekly Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) 5A poll released Nov. 23, the Pflugerville Panthers moved into the No. 1 spot in the state poll following their 7-0 start. Pflugerville faces Waco Midway (4-4), the defending 4A state titlists currently ranked 12th in the 4A poll, on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Pflugerville. The varsity game tips at 7 p.m. at the Panther Gym. The TABC/Tex Preps Basketball Magazine poll has Nancy Walling's Panthers sitting atop the poll, followed by Duncanville (4-0) in second, then Mansfield Summitt (7-1), with Cy-Fair (7-1) and Irving MacArthur (7-0) tied for fourth and Skyline sixth (2-1).
