The St.Boniface Legionaires visited Koskie Park on Tuesday night. The game was well anticipated by both sqauds. Starting pitchers were Mac Batchelor for St.B and Greg Penner for the Mudcats. Penner gave up 3 runs in the top of the 4th inning but hung onto get the win as the Cats exploded for 9 runs in the bottom of the inning. Veteran right hander Aaron Friesen came in and threw 3 scoreless innings of relief. Highlights include a 3/4 game by Kevin McNeill including a double, a home run and 4 RBI's. Chris Leclerc went 3/4 with 2 doubles and a stolen base. The Cats will take their 2-2 record to Teulon Thursday June 6th to take on the Cardinals. Gametime is 7pm. |
