Junior Chiefs Fall Ball starts first week of September. All interested players ages 13-16 from Surrey (Whalley, Guildford, Fleetwood, Surrey-Kennedy) including both Newton and Cloverdale and New Westminster are in our PBL territory are welcome and encouraged to come out. The team will play 15-20 games against other JPBL clubs and others, including the Baseball BC U16 Jim Wray Fall Classic at Whalley and a tournament in Yakima, Washington. All workouts will be at Whalley Athletic Park. Come out a get a taste of the JPBL and the Chiefs program. We are looking to fill roster spots and there are many opportunities on the Jr Chiefs for dedicated ballplayers. Assistant coaches returning are Ryan Klenman & Mike Addy. New to the staff will be David Detienne, a former L.A. Dodgers draft pick, member of the Canadian National Jr Team, and an 8-year pro. Emphasis over the course of the 6-8 weeks will be instructional, with games and structured, up-tempo practices and workouts. We will be on the field Tue-Wed-Thu and weekends. The program is progressive and organized. All players receive numbered Chiefs shirts and hats. Cost for the fall program is $250 payable to Chiefs Baseball.
