| Posted Aug 6/13 - Mudcats pitchers dominate Stonewall to take sqaud to WSBL finals |
Kildonan leaned on their pitching and defense again to win three games vs the Stonewall Blue Jays. Game 1 saw Colin Waldner pitching a shutout gem and the Cats manufacturing 2 runs. Game 2 Angus Klassen was unhittable, throwing a 3 hit gem. Wes Pomarensky provided all of the offense with a two run bomb in the 5th inning. Game 3 started off with a bang as the Mudcats scored in their first two at bats. Aaron Friesen kept the boys in the game and Greg Penner slammed the door shut with his first save of the playoffs. Kildonan looks to defend their title against the winner of Elmwood vs St.Boniface. |
