The Board of Directors of the Elmwood Giants Baseball Club is pleased to announce the availability of the 2010 Cash Calendars.

The sale of these tickets is expected to be the single most important fund-raiser for the Club this year.

Once again, Domino’s Pizza has provided sponsorship to the Club in the form of product coupons attached to the tickets; coupons worth far more than the $10 ticket price! Of course, the Board members believe the daily cash prizes also provide an interesting incentive to participate!

Founded in 1905 and operating on a diamond built and maintained by volunteers, the Elmwood Giants are Manitoba’s (and possibly Canada’s) most recognized amateur baseball organization. Our Midget, Junior and Senior teams have represented Manitoba in countless National and Western Championships. Just some of the well-known graduates of our program include: Corey Koskie (MLB), Wayne Shaw (CFL), Terry Sawchuk (NHL) and Trevor Kidd (NHL).

We rely on volunteers and fund-raising rather than municipal services to offset our operating expenses. As a result, fund-raising ventures are very important to us. Your association with our activities would provide a much appreciated boost to the aspirations of the hundreds of members of the Giants Family in their “Dream It, Wish It, Do It” agenda.

With all that is being done and planned, we encourage everyone close to the Club to sell and purchase these tickets. Without a good profit, none of these projects are possible. This year, there are some changes to the way the draws will be done. The time and venue have changed to 7:00 PM at the Elmwood Legion, 920 Nairn Avenue. In addition, Sunday prizes and the November 11 prize will be drawn the preceding day.

Prize award drawings will commence on the evening of November 1!

As was the case last year, we will post the daily, cumulative and final results on the team web sites (i.e., Juniors, Seniors and Mudcats).
