CHESTER — Dylan Kreutzfeldt had 240 yards rushing on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns in Chester’s 44-8 win over Mount Vernon Friday.

Chester quarterback Drew Kreutzfeldt threw for 44 yards on eight attempts and rushed for 61 yards. He had a hand in three touchdowns.

Mount Vernon scored in the fourth quarter, when Tim Deinert found Cody Weiss for a 22-yard pass play.

Deinert was 5-of-19 for 66 yards and Jon Nebelsick caught three passes for 25 yards.

Kyle Gerlach rushed for 58 yards on 15 carries and also led the defense with a team-high 11 tackles.

Mount Vernon (0-2) plays Tripp-Delmont/Armour in Tripp Friday.
