Katy, TX----Cassie Peoples scored 30 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, to lead #8 Cy-Fair to a 62-53 victory over Cinco Ranch on Tuesday night at CRHS.  Cinco jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter behind the strong play of Megan Palmer, who scored 10 of her 20 points in the first frame.  The Lady Cougars would take a 31-30 lead into intermission and extended their lead to 46-43 heading into the fourth quarter behind Ashleigh Nwanguma's eight points.  The Lady Bobcats had a decisive 17-7 edge in the final stanza to pull out the win. 

Palmer had 10 rebounds to go along with her 20 points.  Nwanguma had 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Peyton Crump added 13 points and 4 assists.  Shayne Ortiz had 5 assists and 3 steals.  Tara Warren had 16 points for Cy-Fair.  Cinco will compete in the McDonald's Texas Invitational starting Thursday in Pasadena.  The Lady Cougars will take on North Shore at 3:00 and North Crowley at 6:30 in the pool play format on Thursday.  Bracket format will follow on Friday and Saturday.
