We take our big trip this Friday. The boys will take their own bus and be on a slightly different schedule than the girls. Here is the information we talked about at Open House last week:

Itinerary

Friday, October 4^th is a ½ day at school. School is released at 11:35

We will not practice Friday morning so the boys will meet in meeting room B at 7:30am.

1:00pm The bus will leave to go to the course at Old Settler's Park. The boys need to be ready to run when they get on the bus.

4:30pm Bus will arrive at the park in Roundrock. The boys will jog the course, buy t-shirts, etc.

5:30pm Bus will take the boys to Gatti-land for dinner. Send money with them

7:30pm Check in at hotel; Hotel info: Comfort Suites I-35, 609 Chisolm Trail, Round Rock, TX 78681. Phone:(512) 244-2700

7:30am Boys wake up and eat breakfast at hotel

9:30am We check out and bus leaves to go to the park

10:00am Boys arrive at the Old Settler’s Park

10:00am 4A Varsity Girls 5000 meters Chip Timed (10 runners per team)

11:00am Junior Varsity Girls 3200 meters Chip Timed (unlimited)

11:30am Junior Varsity Boys 5000 meters Chip Timed (unlimited) ALL BOYS WILL RUN IN THIS RACE

1:00pm Open Freshman Boys/Girls 3200 meters Chip Timed (unlimited Boys and Girls)

2:00pm Stop somewhere in Round Rock or Bastrop for a quick lunch

5:30pm Bus arrives at OTHS

Some of you have asked about chaperoning.  I don’t think we need to officially name chaperones but if you are staying in the same hotel I would love your help. The boys will need to have their own money to pay for dinner at Gatti-land ($8-10) and lunch on the way home ($5-$10).
