I was very honoured to receive the Jaclyn Drummond award earlier this year at the GirlsCan Western Canada Showcase Tournament... Being recognized meant a lot to me as I have not been selected for any provincial teams in Alberta… Your scholarship award made me feel that all the training effort and sacrifices of time with friends was still the right choice for me. Despite never having been given the chance to compete in provincials or at the nationals, I figured there had to be a fork in the road and made the choice to pursue a varsity scholarship in soccer. My aspirations are to play varsity soccer in Canada while completing a University degree… My focus is to keep training and improving my game and hoping that someone will recognize me and want me for their starting keeper. I know that I will improve my chances if I keep working and stay focused and keep an honours level in my academic marks. There will be a fit for me somewhere. Jaclyn`s story encourages and helps to motivate me so I know I`m on the right track. Thank you for making a positive impact on my life at just the right time.
