The Abbotsford Angels hosted the Cloverdale Red team for a double-header on a cloudy Saturday afternoon.  In the first game, the Angels once again combined strong pitching and defense with their dominating bats to shutout the Cloverdale team 10-0 in 6 and half innings.  Liam, Jonah and Keaton all pitched well while the Angels defense quickly shut the door when Cloverdale threatened to score. On the hitting side, doubles by Jordan, Sheldon, and Tanner led the Angels to a victory in game one.

However game two was a completely different game. The Cloverdale team jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning.  The Angels struggled to put together a strong hitting inning but did manage to tie it.  Throughout the game, the Angels continued to struggle on the hitting side and several times made some uncharacteristic defensive errors. This allowed Cloverdale to take a 3-2 lead heading into the the bottom of the 7th. This set up a dramatic bottom of the seventh where with Tanner on first, Jonah stepped up and blasted a home run ball over the centre field fence. With that walk-off home run, the Angels managed to squeak out a 4-3 victory.
