Season Outlook- The upcoming season will come with high expectations for the Lakers.  After last year's record and success this season the Lakers will try to win the District I-North Conference.  Graduation has hit the team hard, but a good group of veterans will try and keep the momentum going in the right direction.  Led by ace Mike Boyce, the pitching staff will be counted on to keep Oswego in games.  Jack Durkin will also be counted on to start many games.  TJ Mattice will be used as a spot starter as well as in pressure situations late in games.  Some young arms will also be available in relief in the form of freshmen and sophomores.  At the dish, Oswego will count a group of core veterans to continue the offensive success from last season.  With Tom Small hitting over .500 and Nick Dreimiller hitting nearly .450, the Lakers will count on their production at the heart of the lineup.  Hitters like Anthony Kolnberger, Dillon Archer, and Adam Clawson will need to drive in the runs like they did last season in order to keep the Lakers in contention.  The loss of the Nation's leading Home Run hitter from last year, Brian O' Shaugnessy, will be a hard void to fill, however the Lakers are capable of holding down the fort.  The Lakers will be challenged throughout the season against foes like Binghamton and Syracuse.  The team will have to count on strong pitching, good hitting, and mistake free baseball if they are to make their way down to Pennsylvania for the District I Playoffs.  The wealth of quality arms and bats returning, combined with the infusion of some new players will help the Lakers on their quest to the NCBA D2 World Series in May 2012.
