ball state linebacker lorenzo scott has speed and NFL credentials but baseball was to be his vehicle to professional sports.  after spending a summer with portland in the outfield, lorenzo was signed by pittsburgh in the baseball draft and currently is playing minor league ball for the mets.  may the force be with lorenzo, i am sure he has fond memories of playing ball in portland his last year as an amatuer.
