Good morning baseball fans, it’s a beautiful day in Portland

The Portland rockets, Bachman turner overdrive, I mean taking care of business

In round one of the nabf regional , win 7-4 thurs. eve at roselawn park over the

Springfield angels.

No rain, nothing fancy, just rocket style hard ball, just like we saw from portlands championship team last weekend in the wbc tournament.

A billy wellman home run in the bottom of the first, drove in team mate Kirby Campbell

Rockets up 2 –0 in the first.  A 4 spot in the 5^th opened it up, rockets up 6-0, good enough for rocket ace dan bollenbacher to cruise thru 6 inn, he gave way to codey Harrison in the 7^th.

The line on big dan, 87 pitches and 7 Ks, 5 hits no runs and we will need him again later in this 5 team regional.  3 cincinnati teams, Portland and Springfield.. 

On offense, billy wellman had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs, of the ball state connection Kirby Campbell scored 2 runs,  randal muhlenkamp of coldwater oh also had 2 hits .rockets scattered 8 hits on the day.  Coach Kevin mccowan batting practice paying off.

16 rockets huddled before the game paying prayerful respects to gene daggett who passed away wed. and also to my good friend and brother kent Dilworth also known around ft recovery area as captain America,,,,, daddy daggett father to pitcher eathan daggett a great baseball man, held proudly his championship medallion that eathan presented him after our Portland wins on Sunday.
