The rockets jumped out to an early lead thanks to a 2 run home run by ss zach tanner to right field no easy feat in the beautiful nichwitz stadium scoring Dalton tinsley, tanner finished his college career at this same stadium as a wright state raider. Portland tacked on 2 more runs in the 2nd, courtesy a double by geoff bowers plating Thomas mccowan and nick hollowell. With 22 players on hand Portland Downs Dayton 8-4 . mitch waters the winning pitcher works 4 innings, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits. Key in this contest of 2 hr 33 min, relief pitchers Dalton gentry 3 innings, tyler Reynolds 1 inning and Dylan brammer 1 inning ---5 shutout innings.
