Good morning baseball fans, it’s a beautiful day in Portland,,,as the summer starts heating up so does those Portland rockets.  6 games in 4 days and the rockets won them all.  Friday rockets down 3-0 used an old formula,  the ole rocket rally scoring with 2 outs, 2 runs in the 6th and 3 in the seventh ,,,2 out magic and timely hitting.  Then Dylan brammer slammed the door to preserve the win for reliever Rueben medina.key hits in the rally by Thomas mccowan and zach tanner..  tanner has been quite an impressive rbi machine lately, 6 hits in the weekend with a slew of runs driven in .  
Saturday in Portland it was $1 brat day and pharon parr and jeanie sold a bunch---the home team did their part winning 6-0 and 11-1—thanks to progressive office products for a good deed and tasty too  they fed both clubs
With dan bollenbacher and mitch waters pitching it was lights out for the orioles.  Bollenbacher an 8 yr. Vet was stellar going 5 no hit innings striking out 7.  Dalton tinsley 
A 3 run home run blast into the hedges in right provided the fireworks. 
Carlton rhoades ft recovery asked me to sign a basketball ----many noteworthy names on it from back in the day,,,quite an honor
Sunday baseball in Portland is always special.. this Sunday rockets kept up their winning ways- rockets over ft wayne cougars 7-1 and 11-1
Also noted june 23 is ray miller’s birthday,,,rocket ray would have been 86 sun.  I received a call from dick crumback last week –he nominated ray to the northeast Indiana baseball assoc. hall of fame,,,unanimous selection---ray also in the Indiana semi-pro hall of fame. David lyons shared that could not happen to a better Hartford gorilla.  Also kudos from randy hisner the umpire former rocket. 
Also thanks to logan hugs dad for the cd pictures of sat. action---did I share how good those brats were  130 were consumed,  people actually came out to get their brats to go----seriously?
Dalton tinsley another rocket launched home run started the scoring but the real story, the pitching performance 6 shutout innings with great pace and location, tyler Reynolds of Muncie.  2 hits game times yesterday 135 min.  awesome pace.
Logan hug had 8 hits in the weekend zach tanner 6, the  rocket attack with tinsley and waters, geoff bowers, chris miller and mccowan being very potent.
Such an offensive thrust marilyon maloy would not take medicine so she could concentrate on rocket at bats.  Hey thanks eli jones and his team from union city coming out to help at the park
