Rockets doubledip expos 8-0 5-4 july 22, 2013
 
Good morning baseball fans, it’s a beautiful day in Portland. Remember that little train that was pushing with all it’s might going uphill,,  I think I can I think I can.  That was mitch waters, scoring all the way from 1st base on Dalton tinsley’s double to  the gap. 
The rockets were down to their last 2 outs behind by one run, mitch waters came off the bench ===he played the first game and his back tightened up—team captain mitch pinch hit and worked a full count walk, tinsley tied the game with his clutch shot.  Logan hug smashed a laser off the glove of the second baseman and as the ball eked out in to right field, tinsley found an extra gear and scored the game winner. Rockets come from behind to win 5-4 over the ft wayne expos. Junior santos and tyler Reynolds pitched well allowing but 3 earned runs on just 4 hits. Tyler Reynolds gets the win and his record 7-0 on the season.,  tony Reynolds shared , tyler from Muncie south, has never been 7-0 at any leve.  Dalton tinsley had 4 hits in the game and Thomas mccowan had 2.rockets had 9 hits.
Rockets disposed the expos in game 1 8-0,  it was dan bollenbacher, all country strong. 
Dan had a perfect game into the 4th inn, and finished with a 2 hit shut out, striking out 11.
Zach tanner and geoff bowers each had 2 hits.  
Game times Sunday, 1:56, 1:37 .
Rocket pitchers have struck out 30 batters in the last 3 games. Old rocket righthander ted hostetler was at the ballpark _ his son jake will play in Illinois in 11 year old tourney. 
Saturday baseball vs the jackers was rained out. That was to be a first place battle, both clubs with 13-1 records.  We will see the jackers in tournament action. 
Rockets finish regular season with a 28-5 record.  Now Portland prepares for tournament play in the world baseball congress tournament.  Last year  Portland defeated the Illinois jayhawks of coach mark cladis 5-2 to win the title.  Jayhawks have won the tournament twice. The action begins at runkle-miller field starting Friday.  Most likely the field will consist of ft wayne cougars, jackers , rockets and Illinois jayhawks.  
Rockets salute a good friend who has passed,  love ya in Portland Stanley teeter, he offered me a ride in his cool gator/golf cart many a time.
