| ATLANTA, Georgia -- In a first for the Pflugerville High School girls basketball program, the Panthers have a Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-America honoree. Senior post Nneka Enemkpali was singled out as one of the nation's top 40 players as she received WBCA All-America Honorable Mention honors. On Feb. 14, the WBCA announced its top 40 girls basketball players in the nation, releasing its 20 High School All-Americans - all who will participate in the WBCA High School All-America Game presented by Nike - and 20 players named to the All-America honorable mention team. Enemkpali, a top 30 recruit who signed with The University of Texas, is averaging 10.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game after missing the majority of last season with an ACL injury. She and fellow senior teammate Adesuwa Ebomwonyi also were nominated for 2011 McDonald's All-America Team honors; that elite national team will be announced soon. The 20th annual WBCA All-America Game, which is held as part of the WBCA National Convention, will be played Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind., site of the 2011 NCAA® Women’s Final Four®. Tipoff is 4:30 p.m. ET. The game will be played on the NCAA Women’s Final Four court for the second straight year. The Panthers have had representation at the WBCA High School All-America Game in the past. Two years ago, Pflugerville head coach Nancy Walling was honored as the WBCA Regional Coach of the Year for the states of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Walling, who finished third in voting for 2009 National Coach of the Year, served as an assistant coach at the HS All-America Game during the 2009 Women's Final Four in St. Louis.
