PFLUGERVILLE, Texas-- The Panther JV squad remained undefeated (12-0) and won the 2011 championship at its own Pflugerville JV/Freshmen Tournament Saturday night with a 45-15 win over Killeen Ellison. In the freshmen tourney championship, the P'ville freshman Gold (A) squad dropped its first game of the season as Vista Ridge won the title, 52-45.

The Panther JV team went 5-0 in the tourney. The title game saw the Panthers lead 22-13 at intermission before outscoring Ellison 18-0 in the third quarter to extend the lead to 40-13 with one period to go. Sophomore post Ti'arra Pitts had 11 points to lead the way.

The Pflugerville freshman Gold squad is now 11-1. Leading scorer against Vista Ridge was guard Alyssa Washington with a game-high 26 points.

Both teams, along with the P'ville varsity and freshman Blue (B) teams, return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Stony Point. The varsity game tips at 7:30 p.m. while the JV and freshman Gold play at 5:30 p.m. with the freshman Blue teams meeting at 6:45 p.m.
