STATE TOURNEY NOTES

THE STATE TOURNAMENT 5A FIELD: Pflugerville is making its sevent State Tournament appearance in program history. Three of those were prior to head coach Nancy Walling's tenure at PHS, and this is the fourth time her Panthers have advanced to the illustrious 5A "final four", with 2013 marking the third time in the last nine seasons.

Duncanville is the defending 5A champion and the undefeated Pantherettes (39-0) are ranked as high as No. 2 nationally. Pflugerville's semifinal opponent, Cibolo Steele, is a newer school. Cibolo Steele has now impressively advanced to the State Tournament for the fourth time in its seven-year school history.

Unbeaten teams at the 5A State Tournament are a rarity. Pflugerville and Duncanville (39-0) will enter the state tournament with unblemished records and both teams will be looking to become the first Class 5A programs since Rockwall in 2007 to finish the season with an undefeated record.

LIVE STREAM OF GAMES: The Pflugerville and Cibolo Steele game, along with the other State Tournament games, are being livestreamed by FOX Sports Southwest.
