| Sandvipers used a strong outing by Kyle Clarke on the mound, and 4 Homeruns to beat the Yankees 23 to 5 at Western High School. Clarke gave up 2 ER on 5 hits over 5 2/3 innings. Kris Jensen and Mike Saavadra each homered in their return to the Sandvipers. Also Justin Hicks and Steven Wright each homered as well in the Win. Hicks and Steve Johnston each drove in 4 runs, and Johnston had 3 hits. Sandvipers are now in possession of the Darth Vader trophy in the rivalry matchup vs the Yankees. Sandvipers matchup against another rival the Dirtbags next Sunday 6/19/2011. Gametime 1pm at Chapparal HS. |
