Lake Henry pounded out 15 hits and used a number of errors to take a 12-2 victory over the Flames on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, in Farming. The key inning was the fifth, when the Lakers plated five runs and put the game out of reach.
Farming had a total of six hits, one each by Zack Posterick, Brandon Bokinskie, Chris Wehseler, Ryan Schleper, Brad Mergen, and Derrick Roush. Zack's and Brad's RBI doubles were the extra base hits for the Flames on the afternoon.
Farming loaded the bases in the second inning and had runners at the corners in third, but were unable to score. On the mound, Zack, Craig Rousch, Brent Mergen, and Derrick all pitched for Farming.
The Flames are now 3-9 in the Stearns County South. Roscoe, the fourth place team, also has three wins as of this afternoon, but only 6 losses. So we'll have to see what Roscoe does before we know of our playoff fate.
On Friday, Farming hosts the Watkins Clippers at 6:30pm in an exhibition games. And then on Sunday, Farming hosts Richmond in the last SCL regular season game, starting at 1:30pm. Come on out and support the ballclub.
