The Flames finished off an impressive weekend in style, handing Spring Hill their first loss of the season 7-6. Greg Holthaus' two-run homer in the eight inning and Chad Mergen's solid pitching helped seal the deal for Farming. Zach Posterick went 4-for-5 to lead the Flames. With the two victories this weekend, Farming is now 3-3 in the SCL South.
The Flames play their next five games at home, three of them exhibitions. The first of these non-league home games is Friday, at 6:30pm, against the Upsala Bluejays. On Sunday, the Flames host Elrosa at a special 3:00pm time --please note. The Elrosa game is the reschedule from the May 6 rainout.
Have a Wonderful Memorial Day everyone, and thank a veteran for your freedoms. Hope to see you at the ballpark next weekend. |
