After a slow start, the Flames fought back the rest of the night but still fell to the Martins 6-4, in a competetive ballgame played under the lights in St. Martin.
Kaz Ellinger and Craig Klein led the attack for Farming. Kaz went 2-for-3, with a run scored and two RBIs, while Craig went 2-for-4 and two RBI's. Derrick Roush had a double for Farming's only extra base hit.
After a rocky first inning, Chad Mergen pitched a pretty good ballgame for the Flames, going five innings and recording five strikeouts. Cody Fourre pitched the final three innings, giving up just two hits while striking out four.
Next up for Farming is a home on game on Saturday, vs. New Munich, at 1:30pm. On Sunday, the Flames travel to Lake Henry for a 1:30pm tilt against the Lakers.
