The Richmond Royals broke open a close game with a five-run fourth inning, on their way to an 11-1 victory over the Flames. Richmond used a three-run homerun and a two-run double in their big fourth inning. The Flames had their lone tally in the seventh inning when Greg Holthaus scored on a wild pitch.
John Theis went the first four innings for the Flames, followed by Chad Mergen and Ian Hoffarth.
It was another great season for Farming baseball and for the Flames. Thanks to the many fans who attended and all those who helped out in one way or another. We look forward to seeing you again in 2011.
I'll continue to update this website periodically through the State Tournament, and then will probably not do a whole lot in the fall. I am hoping to put some kind of ballclub history together over the winter months and I'll probably be adding some photos here and there as well, so keep checking back.
