While no Angels went in this years MLB draft, they sure did make a name of themselves at home, beating the Brewers 13-3 to go 3-2 on the season.
This season, Matt Green sure has enjoyed the home cooking of Angel Stadium in Forest Hills
The Halos right-hander has not only pounded the ball this season, but has hit one of the longest home runs at forest hills sence Ryan Mitchell (one time Angel/Met) hit a 379ft home run in 2006.
"I just feel comfortable here," Green said. "The fans, the atmosphere, all the guys, being at home, being on my home plate. It feels good. I think that can all play into it." Green took his bat to the plate holding a bitter +5 on the temp scale.
He'll try and continue the streak on Friday when the Angels face the Padres. The last outing was not so good going 20-6 in a losing cause.
Marcel Rachon is expected to get the start on friday night.
"We won't overextend him, but we'll work off how he's feeling from inning to inning and go from there," said manager Chris Steele. |
