Hollywood, FL---After being down 19-18 at the end of the first quarter to the Miami Rain, the Lions lost their momentum in the second quarter scoring only 3 field goals as Miami went on a 28-12 run to close out the first half. 

Miami's backcourt play was a major component to their success against the Lions. Telisha Quarles and Cherelle George combined for 46 points, scoring 27 and 19 points respectively. The Lions evened up the second half score with Miami. But stagnant offensive play in the second quarter came back to haunt the Lions. 92-75 was the final score as the Lions fell to 2-1 on the season.

Lashonda Gaines led the Lions with 17 points and 3 rebounds. Ericka Haney chipped in 16 points 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots off of the bench. The Lions will head up to West Palm Beach next weekend to take on the Palm Beach Sabers.
