I grew up in a small town in upstate New York where basketball was the way of life. There were many baseball teams, but not many baseball players. I tried out for the first time when I was 8 years old and have played ever since. This is the sport that spawned the nickname Billy-Ball, because wherever the ball was there I was. People have been known to say “How does he catch those. He is a human wall.” I love this sport and everything about it.
