Ray started playing at the young age of 5 and played until he was 12 in the Edmonton minor hockey system. At 12 he gave up hockey and didn't pick it up again until the age of 23 in the Fst John rec hockey league. Ray makes up for his lack of hockey expirence with his determination, work ethic and sound positional play.
