Bill joined the C21 crew in 2002. Unbelievably he possessed a lively bat for the first couple of years but now seems to be ending his career much like Rickey Henderson, he used to be great but for God's sake retire already! Bill was strong player until Gordo came along and messed up everything like he normally does. Gord has proven to be Bill's Black Plague. Be careful....he will eventually get all of us. Bill claims to have hit one homer a year in his first two years (records do not support this claim), but he hasn't had a sniff since. A fly ball to a rover is now considered a deep drive for Bill. An above average glove combined with a great 1st Baseman to clean up the throwing errors (Thanks Dave...). Bill is always there with a positive word for a down-trodden teammate if things are not going well.....Ok, I know that's not true, but just remember when he says 'you stink' he really means, 'go get em' tiger'. Bill is always willing to point the blame at someone else for a tough loss. It's simply amazing that in his long storied career Bill has never been the cause of a loss. This and this alone allows his legend to grow.
Career highlights:
- First ever at bat - double off the fence. All Down-hill since.
- First home run - didn't know that would be half of his career totals.
- getting to the finals in his first year before we crapped the bed
- getting to the finals in his second year before we crapped the bed
After reviewing some rather weak-ass career highlights, Bill asks himself "Why do I play?"
