Played amateur baseball for Sioux Falls Bud Champps 1999-2002, Sioux Falls Wild Wings 2003-2005, and joined Roadrunners in 2006. Took over as manager in 2007 and guided Roadrunners to 13-13 finish and fourth place in A state tournament.
Has played every position except catcher in his amateur career. Led Wild Wings with .387 average in 2003 and was second in 2005 at .323. Played football at Washington High from 1994-1997.
Played in an exhibition game for the Sioux Falls Canaries in 2006, grounding out and striking out.
