Russell pitched and played 1st base for the Junior Varsity team in 2006. He had a good off-season in the weight room and has put himself in position for Varsity action in 2007. Russell is a gifted athlete with a lot of potential. If he continues to progress, he may be the next big name pitcher to come out of Covington.
