2009- Brian is a loving husband and father of one beautiful baby girl. Brian honed his skills for years in the Red Robin farm system. Of the three full-time pitchers to make the opening day roster Brian is the only one pitching without a surgically repaired arm. The Bad Boys will lean heavily upon the healthy right shoulder of their version of Rod Beck. Early returns from Brian have been tremendous. He touts a devastating repertoire including a sinking fastball that opponents can do little else but beat into the ground, and a hard biting curve that often times goes undetected until the batter returns to his seat.
2010- Airey began the '09 season in dominant fashion as the Bad Boys' closer. He finished the season as a starter and had 23 strikeouts in 31 2/3 innings. He also finished his season on an offensive surge. In his last 3 games, Brian was 4 for 9 with 5 stolen bases. This spring he has looked solid at second, as he did in the final playoff game of '09. With a healthy wing, and constantly improving bat, Airey will help the Bad Boys finish much higher in the standings this year.
