MUST be 18 or older (and out of high school) to tryout.
Tryout Fee: $25 before February 9th.
Make-up Tryout date is March 13, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:30pm.
Tryout Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE regardless of circumstances. The tryout fee WILL NOT be collected at the door. If this is NOT covered before the tryout, you WILL NOT be able to participate. Payments CAN ALSO BE COMPLETED through PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Money Order.
Tryouts will consist of one session. Players will be independently evaluated to determine individual skill level. Players will be given an opportunity to demonstrate skill and ability through a combination of individual drills, partner and team related drills and 5v5 game play.
Players trying out will be required to wear basketball clothing during the tryouts. Clothing must not consist of sweatpants, hoodies, etc. Dress as if you're playing a actual game.
Please do not bring basketballs to tryouts unless it for warming up before the tryout. Balls will not be used much during the first part of tryouts.
Players will be issued a jersey for tryouts at check-in during the first session. Players are responsible for wearing this jersey during the tryout session as it includes their number to be evaluated.
Players are encouraged to bring a water bottle. NO drinks without lids or tops.
Tryouts are open for everyone - we do encourage that your spectators DO NOT display negative or discouraging behavior.
Players will be notified individually if you made the team prior to team postings.
For players that make a team, no refunds will be issued once tryouts are complete. NO EXCEPTIONS
If selected for the team after the tryout, you will be reponsibe for other fees such as uniform fee, player insurance, etc. Players MUST be dedicated and committed to the team fully. Please DO NOT accept the spot if you are looking to be the MAN, demand playing time, or be uncoachable, WE DO NOT NEED that type of player. A true player accepts his role. Their time will come with patience.
Players will be selected for the Tennessee Sting basketball teams; we have an Elite team, a select team, and a Legacy Team. All 3 teams will have equal opportunities to get noticed by scouting agencies, recruiters, and agents.
HINT: Players are picked based on overall merits that he brings to the team. Scoring 60 points does not get you looked at. It depends on what you do to be valuable to your team.
Players are REQUIRED to COMPLETE an interview process. This interview process will determine the final steps to being selected.
PLEASE BE AWARE AS WELL, If you are selected for the elite team you WILL BE REQUIRED to uphold your responsibilites to the team such as community events, practices, promoting the team, promoting team merchandiee, etc. FAILURE TO DO SO will result in a dismissal from the team or a demotion to select or legacy.
