Tourmaline West Baseball Stadium

Completed in April 2018, the Tourmaline West Baseball Stadium is home to the UBC Thunderbirds Varsity, Junior Varsity teams and UBC Thunder PBL program. The new baseball grandstand seats 480 people with both individual and bench seating, and includes a press box at the top of the bleachers.

UBC Baseball Rose Indoor Training Centre

The $4 million dollar state of the art UBC Baseball Indoor Training Centre was opened in September 2015 and is located beside the Tourmaline West Baseball Stadium.  The UBC Baseball Rose Indoor Training Centre (RITC) is home to the UBC Thunderbirds Varsity and Junior Varsity Baseball team as well as the UBC Thunder PBL program. It is heated allowing a comfortable training environment year round. Designed for baseball, with 4 full-size batting cages and pitching machines, the RITC is the premiere baseball facility in British Columbia. The facility also has the ability to convert and be used for multi-sport training. The RITC is Baseball BC's official indoor training centre for programming and identification.

What sets the building apart from anything else you will find is the technology in the building.  This technology is used for purposes that include an enjoyable player experience and a resource for our coaches in player evaluation and identification.  The video wall, 3 HitTrax systems, Rapsodo, Blast, and camera systems cost over $250,000 and truly make the UBC Baseball Indoor Training Centre a very unique experience.
