Reds No Match for Supers
Posted May 25, 2011
The Supers rolled into Swan River looking to get back on the winning track, and they did so with authority as they pounded out 21 hits in a 22-1 romp of the Swan River Reds.
Every player in the Supers lineup contributed with the bat, as runs came early and often. Dylan Toffan had an impressive debut with 2 singles, a walk and 2 runs scored. Greg Andreychuk, Trevor Latham, Evan Rostotski, Carson Dennis, and Travis Fogg each had 3 hits.
On the mound, Darcy Blommaert started, and went 2 innings. He gave up 1 run and struck out 3 hitters. Trevor Latham pitched 3 scoreless innings to pick up the win. Evan Rostotski pitched a scoreless 6th inning to finish up, as the game was called due to darkness.
With the win, the Supers even their record to 2-2. Their next games will be Thursday May 26 as they host the Yorkton Yankees, and Friday May 27 as they host the Willowbrook Royals. Game times will be 6:15 at Al Sapieha field each day.
