Isidore Strueby to receive Hall of Fame Honor!
Posted May 30, 2011
Ex Royal player, coach, and builder, and current Royal fan and groundskeeper Isidore Strueby has been selected to be inducted into the Humboldt and District Sports Hall of Fame. Isidore was inducted because of the countless hours he has spent dedicating his time to the sports of baseball, hockey, and curling. Isidore has been instrumental in his contributions to the Royals over the years. He is still active as this past spring he was seen painting the dugouts and scorekeepers booth in Marysburg. Isidore has already been inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame himself in 2005, and also as part of the Strueby Family in 2000. Isidore joins his brother Sylvester (also in the Sask Baseball Hall as he was inducted in 1991) in the Humboldt Hall of Fame. Isidore has already been inducted into the Humboldt Hall of Fame as part of the 1950's Marysburg Royals (one of the province's most dominant teams of that decade) as they were inducted in 1998. The induction ceremony will take place on Thursday November 10th. Congratulations Isidore!
