Atlanta BattleCats rely on fundamentals to get hard fought win in Montgomery Alabama

“I think we were tested in every way possible today, this is a good win, but we must return home and make adjustments.” – ABC Head Coach Christopher Lee-Garlington
May 28th 2011- The 2-0 Atlanta BattleCats traveled down to Montgomery Alabama to take on the up and coming Montgomery Dream. The Dream showed early they hadn’t forgotten about the 29point loss Atlanta handed them last year. Montgomery was revamped with additional size in the middle this time around. Atlanta was unable to offensively dominate the paint as they are so often accustom to do so. The BattleCats lead by Bernice Mosby & Kendra Appling, fought hard but couldn’t quite get any major separation in the game. Both teams exchanged leads multiple times with each other until the end of the 3rd quarter. Sparked by the sharp shooting of Aja Pijeaux (who went 3 of 4 from “downtown” in the last 1:30 of the 3rd qrt, including a 4point play), the BattleCats were able to pull a head and keep the lead to win 88-75.
