B-Team Goes 2-1 for the Week

The B-Team for the Lady Wildcats keeps improving. After starting the season 0-2, they have improved their record to 4-3. The Lady Wildcats were busy during the week of August 29 with three matches. They hosted William James on Monday, August 29. The Lady Wildcats had a very strong outing from the service line with only 5 serving errors in the match. Candace Clay was 17 for 18, Bailey Kilburn 10 for 12, Winnie Bradley 5 for 5, Paige Culp 4 for 4, Jaice Vann 5 for 6, and Jordan Barnett 3 for 4. The Lady Wildcats won with scores of 25-15 and 25-14.
On Tuesday, August 30 the Lady Wildcats traveled to Centerville to face Hickman County. Waverly's serving performance was not quite as strong as the previous day. The Lady Wildcats kept things close but fell to the Lady Bulldogs in two sets, 22-25 and 20-25.
The Lady Wildcats were on the road again on Thursday, September 1 traveling to Fairview for the second meeting of the season. Waverly fell to the Lady Falcons in three sets and were looking to avenge that loss. The B-Team for Waverly had another good performance from the serving line with only 6 errors and took the win in 2 sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-12. This improved their record to 4-3 and currently in 3rd place in conference play.
