Lady Wildcats Improve to 7-0

The Lady Wildcats had a busy week of volleyball playing three matches. On Monday, August 29 they hosted William James. The Lady Colonels have always been a tough opponent for the Lady Wildcats, but Waverly seemed anxious for the challenge after starting 4-0 for the season. The Lady Wildcats played well against the Lady Colonels and only allowed one 3-point run in each set. Scores in favor of the Lady Wildcats were 25-15 and 25-12.
On Tuesday, August 30, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Centerville to face Hickman County. The Lady Wildcats added another win to their record with identical scores in each set, 25-22 and 25-22.
The Lady Wildcats traveled to Fairview on Thursday, September 1 for their second meeting of the season with the Lady Falcons. In the first meeting, the Lady Wildcats won both sets by a 2-point margin. The first set in this meeting was another exciting 2-point set, again going to the Lady Wildcats 27-25. Waverly held Fairview to only one 3-point run in the second set of the match and took the win 25-14. This improved the Lady Wildcats to 7-0 in conference play and 11-1 overall.
