Girls Win 5th Tournament in a Row!

The CRHS Girls Varsity Team won their 5th tournament in a row at Sienna Plantation on Feb. 3-4, 2012. The second day was a rainout with no play. The Cougars shot 302 on the first day to win by 28 strokes over Seven Lakes and Clements who shot 330. Katy Taylor came in 4th with a 338 and Travis came in 5th with a 343.
Senior Abby Newton won her 4th tournament of the year with a score of 69. Megan Webster shot a 76 to finish in 3rd place. Sophomore Kennedy Ishee shot a 78 to finish in 5th place. Kirsten Hensley shot a 79, and Morgan Galloway and Freshman Sarah Yi both shot 87.
The Cougars play next at River Ridge GC in the Nicole Corser-Brock Kobza Memorial Tournament where they are the defending champions. The Cougars then travel to Austin for the State Preview at Onion Creek.
Congratulations also to Abby Newton for breaking her school record this past week at River Ridge when she shot a 33.
