The Royals dropped their season opener on Wednesday to the Saskatoon Diggers by a score of 3-2.  Colin Bauml, Matthew Strueby, and Dean Jaeb held the Diggers to only 5 hits and the defence did not make an error.  The Royals bats, however, were quiet as they too only managed five hits.  It was a very well played game by both teams so early in the season.  Next action for the Royals is on Tuesday May 21st at 9:00pm against the Outlaws.
