Royals Sweep Blue Jays
Posted May 28, 2012
It was cold and windy but the rains stayed away just long enough to enable the Royals and Blue Jays to get both games in yesterday. The first game saw the Royals defeat the Jays by a score of 6-2. Colin Bauml threw a complete game for the win. The defense was solid making only one error behind him and the bats were big belting out ten hits with Brent Puetz leading the way with a bomb and a double.
The second game saw the Blue Jays hold a 2-0 lead until the fourth inning when the Royals bats woke up. The boys belted out 13 hits lead by Jordan Gerwing who had four and Braden Bauml who had three including a huge opposite field homerun. Bevin Ledingham got the start and threw an inning before giving way to Dean Jaeb who threw really well the rest of the way. The defense was very good making a few highlight reel plays in the win. Next action for the Royals is next weekend when they host the Stallions for a double dip in Marysburg beginning at 1:00pm.
