Shane Wlodarczak has committed to play for the Douglas College Royals starting in the 2012/13 season. Cav Whitely, Head Baseball Coach
at Douglas College is very happy to have Shane in the Royal’s fold. “We are very excited that Shane has decided to
play at Douglas. I’ve known Shane for a long time. He has the dedicated work
ethic and commitment to success that we find in players coming out of the Blue
Jays program, which is what we look for in players for our program” said Whitely.
Shane will join 2011 Blue Jays alumnus Douglas Strohan who joined Douglas last season.
Shane currently ranks 11th in batting in PBL
play with a .351 BA including 8 doubles and 15 RBI. He also sports a 2.45 ERA
with a 1.92 BAA as a pitcher in 34.1 innings.
Douglas College just completed a successful season
competing as the only Canadian team in the tough North West Athletic
Association of Community Colleges where they qualified for their first trip to
NWAACC post season play.
Congratulations and best of luck to Shane!
