Posted June 3, 2012
The Royalsplayed the Saskatoon Stallions in a doubleheader today. Colin Bauml started on the mound in the first game and threw outstanding. He only gave up one hit while throwing a complete game which we one 1-0. The defense made a couple errors behind Colin but he pitched out of it. Curtis Strueby lead the way offensively with two hits.
The second game saw the Royals start Bevin Ledingham. Bevin threw a really good three and two thirds innings before giving way to Paul Strueby. Paul threw well the rest of the game and the defence only made one error behind him as we won the game 6-4. The bats were solid as we had nine hits with Curtis Strueby leading the way with three and a pair of runs batted in.
Next action for the Royals is next Sunday when we host the Saskatoon Diggers for a doublheader in Marysburg beginning at 1pm.
