Epic Fail

The Dbacks took the field against the Provost Combine Pilots on a toasty Sunday morning after a hard night out at the Catalina Wine Mixer and rodeo.  The bats were strong start to finish with all starters but one collecting at least one hit.  Solid pitching from Flow had the Dbacks in a position to cruise to an easy win.  Up 10-4 headed into the bottom of the 6th when the wheels fell off.  Errors, walks, a timely hit, and more errors allowed Provost to put up a 9 spot.  The Diamonbacks gave a valiant effort but fell short leaving the tying run on second as the Combine Pilots were able to limp away with the win. 

They were unable to make the final as they lost the tie breaker on a technicality. They did manage to play a intense game of dizzy ball where minor league hopefuls(Fubar and Grey pants) continued to hone their skills in hopes of another call up to the big club.

A side note after using up their pitching against the Dbacks; Provost was promptly beat 21-6 in the finals.
