Back at It

The Dbacks finally got to take the field after a long hiatus on Friday night against the surprising Mets. They started off pretty slow against the Mets ace, but were able to wear him down. The Backs were able to rack up some runs in the later innings with the bottom of the order starting to show signs of life.

Tom Gayef got the start and went a solid 6innings striking out 8 and walking 4 and not allowing a run. Matt Johnson came in to close it off and he was fired up pitching against his former team. Matt threw a perfect last inning striking out 2 and completing the shut out.

Scooter's struggles continued and his post-game bringing disgrace to the roster and management is considering sending him down to the Dbacks farm club the 9 inch males and calling up utility man John. JR has already set a league record for most HBP in a season with 2 more. Rookie pick up Tyson Elberg showed promise by ripping a triple and not catching like IMDB. He was promptly fined a case of beer after scoring for wearing a white leather belt (SERIOUSLY white leather). He then proceeded to not partake in the post-game. Management was quoted as saying "kid has talent, but need to work on some things if he wants to stay with the big club"

Many beers were had(a few Mets living the Dbacks motto "We Lose We Booze" good on them) and proceeded to Beckhams were the Mets did not follow so no names will be mentioned and we will disregard their post-game efforts.

MVP - Tom Gayef Vadge - Scooter

Next up exhibition game Thursday at 7PM
