The Outlaws came a couple wins short of defending their Moose Mountain title with a quarters loss to Carlyle 5-3. Outlaws were up 3-2 going into the fifth however two runners got on and Carlyle's two hole hitter hit a three run bomb to take the lead and win the game. The Outlaw bats were quiet compared to the first two games. The Outlaws had two round robin games and won them both. Game 1 saw the Outlaws beat Carnduff 9-1 and Buela 12-0. The highlight of the weekend was Shawn Wilyman throwing a perfect game against Buela. He was unhittable and moose barely had to move his glove. He had 7 strikeouts. Trev and Juicebox hit back to back homeruns in that game as well.
This weekend also hosted the Kenossee cup in golfing as the Outlaws took on the Stallions bright and early Friday morning. The Outlaws prevailed 9-1 to defend the cup.
It was a great weekend to hang out and get some team chemistry going and by far this year was the most kids for a Kenossee trip. Definitely some future Outlaws.
Outlaws now are on the road to provincials now as there is about a month left before the big tournament. We also found out that the Saskatoon teams will have to play in round robin tournament to send three teams to Yorkton. More details will come but it will feature the Outlaws, Stallions, Smokin' Guns, & Diggers.
